What Factors Will Affect the Aluminum Anodizing Color
With the development of science and technology, people are asking for more and more products. The application of monochromatic anodized aluminum alloy material in life has been significantly reduced, but the electrolytic tinting oxide film and hard oxide film have been widely used in our life.
For the oxide film coloring technology aspects, whether you also have a certain understanding. In the production process, what factors will affect the Aluminum anodizing color?
Below Are Factors Affect The Aluminum Anodizing Color
The impurities in the electrolytic solution
The quality of the coloring of aluminum alloy products mainly depends on the quality of the oxide film. Therefore, the impurity has a great influence on the oxidation film in sulfuric acid oxidation solution, and it’s very important to us that cleanup copper, iron and aluminum, etc the metal ion impurities in time, to keep the solution in normal use. If not, it will cause the following influences:
-
Copper ion
Copper ion will be replaced and deposited on the surface of the parts, resulting in the release of the oxide film and reduce the transparency, corrosion resistance, and electrical insulation properties.
-
Chloride ion
Chlorine ion comes from the tap water or cooling water, so the content of chloride ions be less than 0.2g/L to avoid the occurrence of the rough and loose surface erosion occurs.
-
Aluminum ion
Aluminum ions are increasing gradually in the electrolyte. But the conductivity of the electrolyte is decreasing when the content is greater than 25g/L. And the surface will appear out white spots and cause the coloring is difficult.
-
Iron ion
Iron ions don’t allow more than 0.2g/L in the electrolyte, otherwise, the dark streaks will have appeared on the surface of the parts.
In addition to this, the following these factors will also affect the coloring quality of the oxide film:
Removing oil contamination
We need to remove the oil contamination thoroughly before the coloring of the parts to avoid the obvious white spots on the film layer, and which will make the coloring difficult.
The coloring Temperature
The coloring temperature also has a great influence on the effects of coloring. For example, the normal coloring temperature is 15℃, when the temperature below 15℃, the coloring will be slow, but when the temperature is too high, it will have a layer thin fog on the surface of the oxide film and cause the tank is turbid.
The coloring Time
It will directly affect the quality and the color resistance of Aluminum alloy parts: the coloring time short, it is easy to fade color; the time is longer, the color and luster will be deep and the surface easy to be scratched.
The coloring voltage
When the coloring voltage is low, the coloring is slow and the color change is also slow, and it’s easy to produce an uneven tone.
When the coloring voltage is high, the coloring speed is quick and the coloring film is easy to flake off. Of course, water quality, PH value, and the coloring material also will have a certain influence on the coloring quality of the Aluminum alloy anodizing.
